Dental Emergencies Only During COVID 19 Pandemic

In some states (Virginia, California, Illinois, Ohio) the government and/or state dental association have directed or recommended dentists to suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care. There is currently no such directive in Indiana. But the ADA did change their recommendation. In order for dentistry to do its part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks.

If you or someone you are in close contact with have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 (China, Italy, Iran, South Korea) or if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution, you should wait 14 days until you see your dentist to make sure you have not caught the coronavirus.
